Position Overview

As Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the back-of-house operations, from menu development and inventory management to team leadership and compliance. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

Culinary Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, train, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring adherence to Harpoon’s culinary standards.
  • Develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and incorporate Harpoon beers.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and foster a collaborative and empowering work environment.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and ongoing professional development.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Maximize profitability through efficient inventory control, purchasing, and waste reduction.
  • Manage labor costs while maintaining high-quality food production.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations.

Guest Experience & Brand Integration

  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to pair food & beer offerings and enhance guest engagement.
  • Lead the charge in hosting beer dinners, food pairings, and unique events to showcase Harpoon’s culinary excellence.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of culinary management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Passion for food & craft beer—experience in beer & food pairings is a huge plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development & kitchen efficiency.
  • Experience with budgeting, food cost management, and vendor relations.
  • ServSafe certified (or ability to obtain certification).
