Digital Marketing Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Manager to lead MBBC-wide digital marketing and community management efforts across social media, email, and websites. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy that drives in-market results for the company’s portfolio of brands and retail locations. This versatile manager must be well-versed in ensuring the creation of engaging content, executing targeted campaigns, fostering vibrant communities (online and IRL!) and analyzing performance to drive brand awareness and conversions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creative, analytical, and technical skills, with a keen eye for the latest digital trends and an ability to manage diverse digital platforms effectively. Responsibilities include managing digital content, nurturing our brand communities and ensuring cohesive and engaging brand and campaign messaging across all digital platforms. This role requires a unique blend of creative, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on communication, community building, and data-driven decision-making.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Development: Crafting and implementing a cohesive digital media strategy for each of MBBC’s brand and retail locations that encompasses social media, email marketing, website management, and community engagement to support the company's goals.

  • Content Creation and Management: Overseeing the production of engaging and relevant content across social media platforms, email campaigns, and the company's website. This involves planning content calendars, creating multimedia content (in-house and/or with partners), and ensuring all content aligns with the brand's voice and objectives.

  • Social Media Management: Managing (in-house and/or with partners) the brand's social media profiles, including content scheduling, engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, managing paid amplification efforts and analyzing social media performance metrics to refine strategies and drive key results.

  • Email Marketing: Designing and executing email campaigns that nurture leads, engage customers, and drive conversions. Responsibilities include managing email lists, segmenting audiences for targeted campaigns, and analyzing and optimizing for campaign effectiveness.

  • Website Experience Optimization: Ensuring the company's websites offer a seamless and engaging user experience, with updated content, optimized navigation, and fast loading times. This includes collaborating with web developers and designers for necessary updates and improvements.

  • Community Management: Building and nurturing online communities around MBBC’s brands and retail locations. This involves moderating forums or social media groups, collaborating with and supporting teams to organize and maximize the value of community and brewery events (including Festivals, Harpoon Helps and retail events) and fostering a positive environment for community members to engage with each other and the brand.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilizing analytics tools to track the performance of digital media activities, including social media engagement, email campaign metrics, website traffic and user behavior, and community engagement levels. Using these insights to inform future strategies and report on ROI.

  • Crisis Management and Customer Service: Monitoring digital channels for feedback, complaints, or potential crises and responding appropriately to maintain the brand's reputation. This includes providing timely customer service and support through digital platforms.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a consistent brand message and to leverage cross-functional insights for more effective digital campaigns.

  • Staying Up-to-Date with Digital Trends: Keeping informed about the latest in digital marketing, social media trends, community engagement strategies, and technological advancements to keep the brand at the forefront of digital innovation.

  • Flexibility: Be able to adapt to the wide-ranging tasks associated with the position from working in an office environment to being on site at the Festival ground.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A solid background in various aspects of digital marketing, such as SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and online advertising. Typically, this would be around 4+ years of experience in a digital marketing role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications or Marketing

  • Strong writing skills across all marketing communications types - social media, website

  • content, event pages, email newsletters, and blog posts.

  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with industry-standard digital platforms like Sprout, Klayvio, Meta Business Manager, etc.

  • Demonstrated social media experience – strategy setting, resource mapping, content creation, metrics/analysis and execution of social strategy.

  • Attention to detail: The ability to handle many different tasks at the same time in a stressful environment. Innate ability to problem solve on the spot.
